Position 1
Location: NHPC Hargeisa Office (Badda Cas)
Office Administrator Position Key Duties:
*Office management
*Manage the day to day office business
*Ensure good condition and maintenance of office
*Manage reception facilities, welcome visitors
*Handle phone calls, maintain staff records, office manuals, finance manual, equipment, supplies/inventories, and arrange meetings
*Provide basic IT support and ensure office equipment is in good working condition
*Ensure nightly back up of files, good numeracy skills, able to negotiate prices
*A detailed job description will be shared with shortlisted individuals
Specific Requirements:
Responsible to the ED
At least 1-2 years experience in similar work
Diploma of business administration or any other related discipline will be a highly advantageous asset
Excellent English skills as well as Somali (both written and spoken)
Efficient, excellent organization and administrative skills
High standard of personal conduct
Self motivated with a positive attitude and works well under pressure
Position 2
Location: NHPC Hargeisa Office, Badda Cas (Regional visits as required)
Programme Officer Position Key Duties:
Programme Management
*Work cooperatively as a staff member of NHPC in all aspects of programme development and management, as well as contribute to the facilitation of stakeholder workshops involving members, agencies and
other relevant organizations
*Manage the implementation of NHPC programmes according to plans agreed upon by the Executive Director
*Ensure the implementation of programme activities in accordance with set budgets
*Facilitate and contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of work plans
*Production and submission of high quality reports on time
*Encourage, coordinate and facilitate good communication between NHPC and its stakeholders (Health professionals) actively involving them in NHPC activities and sub-committees as appropriate
*Facilitate professional development among members and their organizations through workshops, exchange of information, trainings etc.
*Collect timely feedback from partners and other stakeholders about the work of the NHPC and use this to feed into the development of policy and plans
*Maximize learning from the impact of the NHPCs work by sharing within the organization
*Contribute to the national promotional activities such as health special events and newsletters
*Assist or take leadership in all activities as required
*Represent the NHPC in networking meetings, workshops, and other events
*Supervise and support the staff, and deputize for executive director
Specific Requirements:
4 year degree from a recognized university
A background in health and/or health regulation will be highly desired
At least 2-3 years experience in similar work
Excellent English skills as well as Somali (both written and spoken)
Efficient, excellent organization and administrative skills
High standard of personal conduct
Self motivated with a positive attitude and works well under pressure

Background
Somaliland non State Actors Forum (SONSAF) has opened membership application process for all non state actors’ institutions that fulfill the criteria of the membership regarding the context of NSA specific sector representations. Non State Actors are organized bodies taking part in development with other actors, but are out of the direct influence or management/administration of the State Organs of the legislative, government and the judiciary.
Somaliland Non State Actors Forum (SONSAF) is engaged in NSAs capacity strengthening to bridge, coordinate network, and advocate Somaliland Non State Actors through policy dialogue, institution-building and promotion of democratization process in Somaliland. SONSAF represents Somaliland Non State Actors including networks, umbrella organizations, professional associations, academic institutions, and private sector, religious and traditional leaders. SONSAF was established in 2008 in pursuant to the Cotonou Agreement and to advance the voice of non-state actors.
Membership Application process
• Civil Society sector: eligible representatives include umbrella organizations, networks, consortium, forums and large organizations
• Professional sector: eligible representatives include health associations, lawyers associations, research institutions, media associations and academic institutions, engineers etc
• Private sector: eligible representatives include business associations with service sector, production sector, industrial sector, commercial sector, trade unions etc
• Traditional leaders associations
• Religious leaders associations
Standard Requirements:
• Must submit valid registration certificate or license
• Submit updated profile
• Must have functional board of directors
• Must have internal rules and regulations
• Must submit constitution and by bylaws
• Geographic Areas of Operation: Regions, Districts, Regional and National level
• All applicants must demonstrate commitment, integrity and moral ethics to the SONSAF Forum
• Must submit current programs and action plans
• Must submit list of board of directors and list of staff
• Submit application letter stating the reasons for the request of membership and the sector that your institution wants to join in.
